Beauty

So, the other night I was at a dance, and one of my best friends while we dancing, told me, "You look beautiful." Now this isn’t the first time he’s done this, in fact, he usually tells me I’m beautiful at dances. But this time, it got me thinking. Why do people only tell girls that they look beautiful when they are dressed up? Why does no one tell girls that they are beautiful when they are in sweats and a sweatshirt? Beauty isn’t transitionary, it doesn't change depending on what she's wearing. If a girl is beautiful at a dance, after putting half aan hour of work into her appareance, then why isn't she beautiful when she gets up, puts sweats on, and leaves? Now, don't get me wrong, I appreciate it as much as anyone when someone tells me I'm beautiful, but I don't understand why we can't tell each other we are beautifull when we look, well, ordinary. And it's not just men, as women we are just as guilty of seeing each other, and not telling each other we are beautiful. And we know how insecure we can get, so why don't we tell each other? Why don't we let each other know of their inherint beauty as a child of God?
